The Kingdom of the Dwarves
The dissolution of The Combine and the The Devastation left the dwarves in a very bad spot. The manipulations of Eoric Deepsong left the people doubting the competence of the monarchy. Unlike the elves, the dwarves saved very little as The Devastation overtook their capital. To compensate for the sudden lack of space to accommodate their population, the dwarves have expanded vertically (downwards). On the orders of the king, builders have incentivized any who were spared from the Devastation to move into newly-cut underground dwellings so that their old homes are available for the refugees (at a price, of course).
The King is in regular contact with The Ekwan Republic, which has generously come to their aid, and has also mediated talks between them and The Elven Archonate.
The main groups within The Dwarven Kingdom are merchant families, farmers, veterans, refugees, and the priesthood. The merchant families learned long ago to that a crisis is an opportunity, so they are generally pleased with the situation. Farmers, veterans, and refugees are very disillusioned by the breakup of the Combine, the failures of the King, and generally how hard they got screwed by The Creythia Society. The priests are kept very busy by tending to their own people and by keeping peace between the Monarchy and the people of which it rules.
The Kingdom of the Dwarves is outlined in yellow on the eastern half of Lorath. Their capital is Damar.
